Hello all! I am writing from San Marcos, Guatemala where I have been for the past 22 days. This long stint away from home is coming to a close this Wednesday and at that point (god willing, I do still have a test to pass!) I will be a certified yoga instructor. Pushing outside of my comfort zone was to become more engaged in my own personal practice. I wasn’t sure about teaching, but I most certainly felt the call to learn. This time has more than delivered on that front and I feel more inspired than ever to make yoga and its many facets a part of my daily life. Teaching? Perhaps. I feel I have just begun a life long journey.
I feel lucky to have had so many new experiences here. Doing yoga everyday, somehow becoming a *GASP* morning person (hopefully this one sticks!), learning what it means to carry the lineage of yoga, participating in ceremonies, and discovering a lot about myself.
On that note I have been doing quite a bit of reflection on my life, and what I am returning to. This newsletter remains my most dear project for self expression, and my most fun reason to sew. I’m missing it and it’s only been one month— that’s a good sign! Lots of ideas are coming and I’m excited to get back to the sewing machine and movie screen. And now I have a favor to ask of you! I’d love to get some feedback from you sweet readers. Would you be so kind as to fill in the poll below, or if you have something more specific to say hit the reply or leave a comment. What I know is that I get so much from creating E-Pastiche! What I want to know is why you read it! Bless you peeps who tune in— I’d like to provide you with something good in return for your kind attention :)
Thank your for reading— I’ve missed you! Back with regular programming on May 13th. ‘Til then I’ll provide my personal soundtrack for this time :)
Lol I think my yoga niche will be classes set to a playlist of fitting 60s-70s favs, et la Beatles go to India and Beach Boys start mediating…of course plenty of George Harrison, my main man.
